Wife has been going to a senior exercise class. Today she took me as a guest. It wasn't too bad. Mostly sitting down doing stretches. I made the full hour with no problem. After they had refreshments. One gal made some toffee that tasted just like Heath Bars. Gooooood Gooood.
Will go back again as a guest all next month 3 days a week. Geez I will really be in good shape after a month of this.

Sep 1955 Wis Dells lucky 13

Haven't written in over a week. Lots transpired during this time. 2 of our daughters did the Polar Plunge in Madison for the Special Olympics. Youngest daughter went in 2 x's because she said if she collected over 1 grand in pledges she would dive in twice. She collected well over that amount so she jumped in 2x's. Temp was rather mild for this time of the year. It was in the low
30's. The money collected went for a great cause. The gal in pink the pink blouse and the one in black blouse are our daughters

Saturday eve the wife and I attended a Credit Union Mtg. It was an important meeting because this small credit union voted to merge with a larger Credit Union. This small company Cr Un had it's limits and this will open more benefits for the members. Had a few beers and won a few bucks as door prizes. Was a good night for all.

Long drive ahead of us tomorrow morning very early. Attend wifes aunts funeral. Its snowing out now and I hope it lets up soon so that all roads will be clear of any snow or ice. Driving 160 miles in ice, snow or fog is not my cup of tea. Will make for a long day.

Another fine Lady

Here it is Thursday and I haven't written any great words of wisdom since Sunday. Not much on the ball I guess. Got rid of the snow in our driveway and the neighbors, then just relaxed with a beer. The snow fall wasn't that much especially when you see what D.C. and Baltimore etc. had fall on them. The Government was shut down for four days. How could you tell the difference?

N.O. Saints win Super Bowl. Little late in posting this, but then I have dial-up internet connection. Not much other news to pass along, been a slow day. Feeling a little under the weather, bad cold. Lots of coughing and nose blowing. More than you wanted to hear, I bet.

My type of gal.

Lots of snow out east today. 24.5" in D.C. We only had a few flurries here. Other areas on the east coast got, shall we say, hammered with snow. Remember back in March 1960 when I had served my 2 years of US Army duty. My wife and I were to leave for home from Connecticut to Wisconsin, and it snowed and snowed. We planned to leave on Thursday but the roads weren't cleared until Sunday, then when we got down to NYC they were still shoveling and plowing out. That was a 24" snow storm.

Breakfast at McD's today with wife and her friend. I should say our friend. We enjoyed the time together and of course the brilliant discussions. The fine food at McD's goes without saying. In the next few days I will be posting pics of some of my favorite gals.
