Attended the City Band Concert this afternoon. Weather was warm with a slight delightful breeze. It was a good time and we sat with many friends watching and listening to the great sounds. It was a good crowd with some sitting in the sun with the metal chairs set out by the city. Most people carried their own canvas chairs and sat in the shade. It must have been very warm in the bandshell. They also had an ice cream social in conjunction with the concert.

Fathers Day yesterday went well. Also wifes Birthday. Most of the kids and grandkids showed up and it was a busy time at our house. Daughter brought over a few beers and some of us were daring and split the product so we could all get a taste of the various brews. The grands played outside and seemed to have a good time. Later played in the basement with the various toys we have from when their parents were youngsters.
Humming birds have showed up the past few days and it is good to have them back.
Tornado this evening, we spent about 1½ hrs in the basement. Did a little cleaning while down there.

Pelicans
Guess its been a few days since I last posted. Been a busy week. Monday thru Thursday we were camping. Had occasional rain and winds, but all in all it was a good time. 3 of our daughters and 4 of our grandkids showed up at various times to enjoy the park. We have camped at this park many times in the past 6 years and saw all kinds of wildlife and birds of all kinds also. This week however is the first time we saw pelicans on the lake. It was a delight to watch them on the water. Home again and we had storms and winds. Lots of thunder and lightning. Only 1 day at the ball park for a brat and a beer. Had a burger at McD's tonight after Church. Then finished the lawn mowing that was interrupted yesterday by the storms. Also trimmed the hedge when I finished the mowing. Had a few choice brews while camping. Burp!!!!

Just a quick update on the week. Tues. supper at the local ball park for a buck Pabst and a delicious bratwurst. Wed and Thur travel to home area for a funeral.
Fri went to a charity at the local credit union. Had a bratwurst, soda and chips. Another charity Sat at a grcery store. Had a soda, chips and bratwurst. On the way to and on the return from our journey we stopped at a McD's for burgers. Our puppy attended our journey to the north.

Slightly cool out today. Went down to the ballpark this evening for a $1.00 beer and a $2.00 bratwurst and to see some of the ball game. Enjoyed the Pabst, the brat and the ball game. Wished I had brought a jacket thou, it was a might cooler than I thought.

Well, it's June already. The year is just flying by. Hoping to get camping next week but the weather does not seem to be co-operating. Can't get much done around the house either with all the rain. Watching Leno this evening, haven't tuned him in, in a long long time. Wish there was more decent TV Shows on the air. Thank goodness for the News Shows and the 60 Minutes, Dateline and those type news shows. We watch a lot of Public TV Shows and CSpan. Don't have the other News channels, but we do get our local channels when they have something interesting. Well thats it for this evening. Have a good week-end all.
