Royal Wedding-My Doctor Visit-More

Royal Wedding over my Dr appt over!!! Cut back on salt, no fast food!!! I luv McDoubles and fries. Lose weight!!! My Dr. she hates me I think. Much luck to Kate and her Prince.

A few of my many hats. I have about 60 of these baseball type hats on hand. Will have to count them some day. Have given 18 of them to the local St. Vinnies Resale store and tossed out some when they got dirty and couldn't be cleaned. Also gave a few to the kids and grandkids. Probably have had over a hundred or so thru the years. I never bought any myself. Got some by sending in coupons and some as gifts as people thought I needed them. Got a bunch of Tee shirts that way also. Someday may have to photograph them.

This is a picture of a cedar chest my F-I-L made for us. A friend bought us the angel blanket. The small pic of the pup is our Nelli who recently passed on to a new life in Puppy Heaven. The stuffed animals were presents we received over the years.

Ready For Collector Plates

1991 Isuzu Stylus

License plates that is. Yes Suzie Isuzu hit 20 years old this month. Although it has traveled the midwest and east coast it only has about 110,000 miles on it. Not sure if I should put collector plates on it or not. Will travel to the Wisconsin Motor Vehicle Department in Madison and see what it all entails to get it done.

Easter Sunday and More

Hope everyone enjoyed this Easter Sunday. Our oldest daughter stopped over with her pup and a bottle of her home brewed beverage. It was dark stout beer and it was very good.

Hoping to upload a few more pictures. Hope it will work once again. Last Monday, the 18th, we had a snowfall and as you can see, if the photo uploads, the humming bird feeder did not escape its path. Wish I would have looked out earlier as some of the snow already melted.

Twenty minutes and the pictures did not upload, guess next time I will just do one picture at a time. I tried three this time as I often did in the past. Will try to upload a bunny.

Uploading Pictures

Decided to give it one more try to upload some pictures. Uploaded only one at a time. Slow but at least I can still get pictures to this site.Leinenkugel Orginal

These are some of the beers that I wrote about in the past writings.Irish Stout
Will post the other beers at another date. Holland Lager 1839

The real bad weather missed us but it dropped a lot of snow up north of us. We did have snow, sleet rain and slush but it didn't stick to the landscape. Ten miles to the north they had more of the snow and sleet and it filled the lawns.

Weather, Beer, What Else Is There To Discuss

Hail, Sleet, slush, snow and rain. That is not todays weather forecast, that is todays weather. Had breakfast at McD's with our group this morning thru all the mess.

Hoping to upload the photos of the Irish Stout and Oatmeal Stout that I wrote about in my last post. It's been over 12 minutes since I pressed the upload button to upload 2 pictures and so far no pictures yet. Maybe there is a limit of how many pictures you can upload? Will try again some other time. Maybe my dial up is too slow!

Enjoyed a bottle of Holland 1839 Lager this evening. Wish I could post a picture of it for you. The beer is brewed in Holland as the brews name indicates. It is a light beerish color with a good hop aroma. As stated in the first word of this paragraph, I enjoyed the beer.

Come On Summer-Beer Tasting

Come on Summer, I want to go camping. Waiting for the weather to warm up so I can gave the TAB camper a good wax job. It made it thru the winter in good shape and I'm sure it is ready to be cleaned up, tires checked and hooked up to the mini van, then hit the road to adventure. With the price of gas not to sure how far we will travel this summer. Would like to do a few Illinois and Iowa trips also Upper Michigan. Don't know if South Dakota is in the picture or not. Come on Summer. Tasted two beers that my daughter brewed. Both were dark, heavy bodied brews. One was a Irish Stout and the other was a Oatmeal Stout. I'm not a dark beer fan but both of these products passed my taste test. Taste and aroma were of exceptional quality and both had good aromatic qualities about them. Having trouble uploading the pictures of the brews, will try to post them in a later post. lucky 13

Storm Damage In Big Flats-Also Beer Tests

No, not the Big Flats beer as featured in a previous post but in Big Flats, Wisconsin. According to the TV report a tornado set down in Big Flats, WI. As part of this storm a tornado also set down in Manitowoc, WI as well as other areas in the tornado path.

Am having trouble downloading the photos of the beer tasted. If the pics aren't downloaded by the time I finish this report I will post them at a later post. They just came thru.

Leinenkugel Orginal Beer - Slightly dark clear color - good foam qualities - pleasant malty aroma - good body and flavor.

Stevens Point Special Lager - The comments as for the Leinies above also apply to this beer.

I enjoy both of these Wisconsin brews.Couldn't find a picture of the Point Beer in a glass.

Miller High Life Beer - Lighter color than the above brews - good foam and pleasant aroma - slightly less body than I would like but a good beer.

Daughter and I shared a home brewed Oatmeal Stout today. Will have a taste test on that later. She also brought a IPA that has to be aged a little longer.

Reflections

From the RV Show. Window of the RV door
Neighbors tree broke off and fell in our back yard
Baled Bunny

Wow here it is the sixth of April already. Went to DeJope Casino today so Mary and I could share a BLT and french fries. It is a triple decker sandwich and neither of us could finish one alone. Also visited a RV show at Camper World. After stopped in to see our daughter and the youngest two of our granddaughters. A very enjoyable day except for the few bucks spent at the DeJope slots. Guess should say slot machines to be more clear.

Enjoyed a few beers over the past few weeks. Will write a taste test on these brews later. Tasted Miller High Life, Stevens Point Special Lager, Leinenkugel Orginal Lager and Holland Lager 1839. All were acceptable beers and as stated will post more at a future date.
