Welcome to Bartz Bitz. Not really a great blog to learn anything, just a chance for me to practice my typing skills. Or perhaps my lack of these skills.
Worked in the back weed patch today and starting cleaning up this area once again. Wanted to put in a wildflower area years ago, however ended up in the hospital each year for the next 6 years following my retirement. So for the past 7 years I keep trying to put a hold on those miserable weeds but they keep coming back. I refuse to use weed killer just keep pulling them and I am getting ahead of them a little. Well guess thats it for this evening. Take care all.

Just thought I had better check in. It's been a few days since I last posted. Slow going around here lately. It's been cool and breezy so no raking or digging out stones for me. Also my knee has been giving me a little bit of a problem every now and then.

Not much to report today. Worked on my rock digging around the maple tree stump. Then watched TV as the Badgers played in the NCAA Basketball Tournament. Badgers ruled but it was a knuckle twister right down to the last second. Badgers now play again Sunday hoping to win and advance to the Sweet Sixteen. 16 teams out of the original 65. Go Bucky!!!

Fantastic day out today. Temp was in the low to mid 60's. Snow disappeared a few days ago. Spent the afternoon raking. Lots to rake. Had a large maple tree cut down over winter and a bunch of tree limbs and sawdust covered the ground. A neighbor carted away all the chunks, all 5 truck loads of them. Still have at least half of the back yard to rake but that should be the easy part. But then again come Saturday the weather man is predicting snow. Guess thats march in our midwest states.

Our friend painted a picture of our little teardrop trailer and he did a great job as shown here.
The other picture is of a rally we attended last fall.

Not feeling very good so not much to write about. Wife and I drove up to our hometown to attend her cousins funeral. Drive up there was pretty stressful as the highway was fogged in. We did not linger around after the service was over as we wanted to get home before darkness settled in. Fog was not quite as bad on the ride home. The balance of the days since I last posted were pretty boring. The one item that cheered me up was a call from our 3 year old Granddaughter. She talked to Gramma and asked her to tell her words starting with "A". Grams first word was applesauce and that was good to the little one. Above Gramma said next. That was also good. Then Gram said Amber (their dogs name) and the little one said, "Gram, that's silly you know Amber starts with "D". Gram had to explain that Amber started with "A" and
dog started with a "D".


Lucky 13

Went to McD's today for breakfast with our little group. Then later our daughter said she was going to drive down with our 2 youngest granddaughters for a short visit. The girls like to go in the basement where we have many toys collected over the years. Even a bouncing horse that is 48 yrs old. These 2 are the Number 13 and 14 kiddies to ride this horse. Six of our kids and eight grands. I keep an artificial Christmas tree down there with only blinking lights for them and today they found a bunch of items to decorate the tree. See picture above left.
