Is A Big Snow Coming ?

I put my snow shovels away, swept out the garage and enjoyed a walk in this cool spring weather. Oh enjoyed a cool beer, a Leinies Orginal, when I finished these tasks. Surely when you put the shovels away and sweep the salt and sand from the garage floor a blizzard is on the way. I did not empty the gas from the snowthrower yet so that just might save us this time. Big Flats

Sorry no green beer taste test today.



Today was Big flats Day. I don't mean Big Flats, Wisconsin I meant Big Flats Beer that I finally picked up a six pack at Walgreens in Lake Mills. Believe I wrote about that a few days ago.

The taste is similar to Milwaukee Best in both price and taste. I don't recall if I ever placed a taste test of Milwaukee Best on this blog. Just use this test of Big Flats and it will be in the ball park of taste and appearance of Milwaukee Best. Big difference of the two beers is the location of their respective breweries.

Big Flats is a very clear egg yoke yellow color. It is light in body and taste. It has definite beer qualities and aroma but because of the lack of body the flavor is also diluted. This would be good for a quick thirst quencher but I would not like to spend a day at the campsite with only Flats to satisfy my taste and cool me off. If only that was available it would be O.K. I give it a rating of 6.

3-13 Lucky Day

I'm back raring to blog.

Been a while since I last blogged here. Computer and phone problems as well as busy days lately.

Today the thirteenth day of the third month of the year is my LUCKY Day (3-13). Also our daughters lucky day as she celebrates her birthday on this date. Also Frosty Freeze is open for the season. Forgot to buy a lottery ticket for this lucky day. wah (baby tears)

Went out for lunch with the daughter and friends of hers. It was at an old feed mill and it is very picturesque. They have many items from the orginal mill in the building and also on the outside. Quite a beautiful ride in that part of the state.

Last evening we attended a play in the neighboring town. It consisted of many radio show segments. The show was in the middle school gym so the sound was quite difficult to understand because of the echo. It was entertaining however.

Picked up my Big Flats beer at Walgreens in a neighboring town so tomorrow I will have to give it a try. Stay tuned.
